Welding & Assembly

We offer a full range of precision welding and assembly services including FCAW – Flux Core Arc Welding, GMAW/MIG – Gas Metal Arc Welding, GTAW/TIG – Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, SAW – Submerged Arc Welding System w/40-ft Trolley, Robotic, and Laser Welding. We work with a range of materials – including aluminum, carbon and stainless steel, T1 and Domex alloy steel, and are certified to ISO 9001:2015 standards with AWS D1.1, D1.3, D1.6, D14.1, D15.1, NAVSEA MIL-STD-248, and onsite CWI Certified Welding Inspection.

Press Brake Forming

Chicago Metal Fabricators is the industry leader for heavy-duty precision press brake forming and bending. Our investment in an extensive line of high performance press brakes ranging in capacity from 50 to 1,500 tons with a max width of 32-ft, enable us to produce complex parts in one piece without splice welding or assembly.

Robotic Automation

For lights-out automation and high-volume forming, welding, and laser cutting production runs, our three facilities with over 300,000 sq-ft are equipped with state-of-the-art welding robots, high speed production and large format lasers, and a 440-ton by 12-ft robotic press brake.

Flat Laser Cutting

We house some of the largest high speed production and large format fiber lasers in the United States, making us the perfect choice to handle laser cutting projects for any size project or industry application. Our advanced laser cutting equipment features high powered performance and versatility, enabling us to handle complex custom geometries and tight tolerances with a high level of precision and minimal waste, saving time and money.

HD Plasma Cutting

If you are looking for cost effective, high definition plasma cutting services for your large scale and heavy sheet metal projects – Chicago Metal Fabricators is the perfect resource for you. Our Messer 70-ft by 12-ft table includes dual Hypertherm HPR400XD high definition units with straight and bevel head functionality with CNC integration, cuts complex designs, angles, and bevels while delivering high-quality accuracy.
